| | I've had a a guy my age pick on some high school kids that haven't filled out their frame yet. The gym master couldn't care less and didn't bother to check if one of the kids was ok after he took a punch to his lip. I'm not anyone of real consequence, but I'd be damned if I let that slip. So, I challenged the blowhard to a 'sparring' match. It was only sparring in name: we didn't have any pads on, and it was obvious that he wanted full contact. Great, he fell for my trap. He tried to bully me as well, only I countered his grab with to a punch that stopped just short of his eye. Taken aback, he then tried to kick me in the leg, except I blocked and kicked hard to his forearm knowing he'd block it. Every time I lifted my leg to feint, he backed away. I haven't seen him pick on the smaller kids anymore since. All of a sudden i have a small group of 14-16 year olds sticking around me... bleah.
"Me and my friend"... it's unbearable as to how many times I've heard that phrase. Maybe I'm over analyzing, but it appears to be a very good indication of our youth, regardless of ethnicity . Me, myself, and I appear to come before anyone else. It's blatant as to where they've gotten this self gratification and superiority complex: from the adults. Needless to say, I've started to correct their grammar. The only issue is that some of these kids can't differentiate between a video game and actual fighting. I mean c'mon, who does a "shoryuken" and "hadoken" in a fight? I had to show them why those moves aren't really practical in a fight. The openings were too many to count: i threw them, kicked their ass (literally), tripped them, etc... sigh, are parents teaching their kids anything anymore?
